Presentation
It is a pleasure for us to announce the upcoming "Skin & Formulation, 4th Symposium" co-organized by the APGI and the European Centre of Dermocosmetology (CED) on 4-5 June, 2012, in the beautiful city of Lyon (France), city recognized by the UNESCO as part of the world heritage.
The Skin and Formulation Symposium has been organized in Paris (2003) and Versailles (2006 and 2009). In 2009 we were pleased to welcome more than 300 attendees and around 160 posters were presented. These symposia have provided a unique discussion forum between pharmacists, biologists, chemists and physicians on the interactions between the skin and formulations applied to it. The various aspects of the topical and transdermal applications of pharmacologically and cosmetically active compounds were presented and discussed.
The Symposium programme will treat advances in topical formulations for improved skin delivery and will include the following topics:
• Recent advances in biophysical techniques
• Skin structure and biology
• In silico, in vitro, and in vivo evaluations
• New carriers for controlling topical drug delivery (raw materials:
pharma and personal care, formulation, physical characterization)
• Active transdermal drug delivery
There will be a mixture of plenary invited lectures and short communications selected from the abstracts received from young researchers so to have more topics presented. An exhibition will be organized in the poster-lunch/coffee break area. You can find below information about exhibition and sponsoring possibilities.
We are all looking forward to meeting you in this very typical French city!
